Ken Mayemura,
O.D. (Magnolia Eye Care and Bartlett
Eye Clinic) Originally from Southern California.
Graduate of the California State University, Fullerton
where he received the Miles McCarthy Award for
"outstanding health professions student who demonstrates
high academic achievement and integrity, as well as a
commitment to serve humanity". Graduate from the
Southern California School of Optometry in 1992. In
addition to his current position Dr. Mayemura also has
clinical experience in the following settings: Veterans
Administration hospital (Brentwood VA in Brentwood, CA &
Madigan in Tacoma, WA) HMO (Kaiser Permanente in
Southern California and Group Health Cooperative),
specialty vision therapy practice, commercial and
private optometry practices and private ophthalmology
practice.
Brenda Burden, O.D. (Bartlett Eye Clinic) Originally from Southwestern
Kentucky. Undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky
University. BS Degree Physiological Optics, University
of Alabama at Birmingham. Graduate from University of
Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1990.
Externship in Ocular Disease at Omega Eye Care Center,
Atlanta, GA. Post-Graduate Residency in Low Vision &
Geriatrics in 1991 from University of Alabama at
Birmingham School of Optometry and Tuscaloosa
/Birmingham, AL VA Hospitals. In addition to her current
position, Dr. Burden also has clinical experience in the
following settings: Tertiary care surgical co-management
center (Omni Eye Services Birmingham, AL), Eye
Foundation Hospital (Birmingham, AL), commercial
optometry practice, and private optometry /
ophthalmology practices. Dr. Burden has been published
in the Southern Journal of Optometry.
Amalia Poquiz, O.D. (Everett Family Vision and
Magnolia Eye Care) Originally from Northern
California. Graduate from the University of California,
Los Angeles. Graduate from the University of California,
Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2008. In addition to
her current position Dr. Poquiz also has clinical
experience in the following settings: Veteran’s Affairs
Clinic (San Francisco Medical Center & Northern
California Health Care System: Sacramento), community
vision clinic (Alameda County Medical Center, Optometry
Clinic), specialty low vision clinic, commercial
optometry and an HMO practice (Kaiser Permanente in
Roseville, CA). |
